Protection Heads and Tubes

Protection Tubes outside diameters range from 1/16" - 1/2". Can also be secured into pipes using OMEGALOK® compression fittings (Sold Separately).

Ceramic Protection Tubes are made from MEGATITE™ 450 and MEGATITE™ 300 which protect the sensor at temperatures as high as 1950°C (3540°F). Optional fittings are available.

Industrial protection heads are available in a variety of materials, are compatible with various probe diameters & can use transmitters. Available in single or dual elements.

OMEGATITE 650® Protection Tubes is an alloy of silicon nitride and aluminum oxide and is made to with stand high temperatures up to 1250°C, thermal shock & corrosion .

Self-gripping spring and 1/2" NPT threaded fitting can be added to any 1/4" diameter probe to convert it for thermowell use. Helps achieve optimal thermal contact.
